Top SEO Keyword Tools for 2017

RankBrain and Google’s constant drive towards machine learning has forever changed the way we optimize the content on our websites for search engines. RankBrain has placed enormous value on semantic relevance and optimization when it comes to optimizing keywords on-site. Now instead of just having one page targeted for a given

Now instead of just having one page targeted for a given keyword, you need an in-depth examination of that topic or keyword written in an easy-to–understand language. This type of content will outrank keyword-heavy content in 2017 virtually every time.Related:Group Buy SEO Tools

With Google focusing on how each word is situated in a query and the relationship between those words, the need to evolve the way you perform keyword research is coming faster than ever. Google has already declared a mobile first index and with 1 out of every 5 mobile searches being a voice search, the need to optimize with integrating semantic search terms will be more important than ever in 2017. Here are my top keyword tools for 2017.Related:Group Buy SEO Tools

SEMrush
SEMrush is always a go-to of mine when doing keyword research. I have yet to find any tool better than SEMrush for doing a competitive analysis. The tool allows you to see what competitors are ranking for and the pages on their site that rank for those terms with ease. Not only can I get tips on how to optimize my page but this makes it easy to run the infamous “skyscraper” method when it comes to building out my content.Related:Group Buy SEO Tools Groupbuy ahrefs SEO Tools

Answer the Public
Answer the Public is quickly becoming one of my favorite keyword research tools, especially when it comes to semantic search terms. It’s hard to find a better tool than this when it comes to building FAQ pages and discovering what phrases people are searching for around a given topic or keyword. It basically lists out questions and propositions surrounding the topic or keyword you enter. With semantic search terms being increasingly important, every SEO needs to know about this tool. Best part, it’s free. Groupbuy ahrefs SEO Tools

Soolve
Soolve is another free keyword tool that will strengthen your keyword strategy. It’s awesome for giving long-tail content/keyword ideas for either new blog posts or for your sub-category landing pages. It also displays auto suggest terms across seven different search engines, which is very helpful for those optimizing across several search engines.

LSI Graph
Did I mention semantic search terms will be important this year? Another one of my favorite tools for finding semantic and long tail search terms is LSI Graph. It generates latent semantic indexing keywords for all your SEO needs and it’s completely free. Just input a keyword or phrase and it’ll generate 50 highly searched long tail semantic search terms that you should be targeting. Great for content and blog ideas as well. Definitely a must-use tool for 2017.

Infinite Suggest
Infinite Suggest is basically Uber Suggest on steroids. It does the same thing but if I had to pick a winner I would go with Infinite Suggest. Just input a keyword and it’ll spit out a never ending supply of Google Suggest keywords. Easy as that. The reason I vote this one over Uber Suggest is how it coordinates with SEMrush. Just click “view keyword” and it’ll take you right to SEMrush keyword data for that given phrase. This tool just makes keyword research that much simpler.

Demographics.io
Demographics.io allows you to know your audience a little bit better. Enter a keyword, or several, and the tool will display demographic data for your given keyword(s). This tool can be very useful when trying to create personas or better understanding your audience.

Keywordtool.io
Keywordtool.io is a nice supplement to Google AdWords, if you still need to find exact numbers of searches per month and aren’t paying enough in AdWords to get that data straight from Google’s tool. It allows you to search volumes from other search engines such as Amazon, YouTube, Bing, and the App Store. This tool can be a very good alternative to AdWords.

AdWords Keyword Planner
AdWords has been a go-to keyword research for SEOs, since I’ve been in the industry. If you aren’t spending enough money with Google, they only show search volume ranges instead of exact numbers. This has been frustrating for numerous SEOs but once again, we are stuck at Google’s mercy on this. Even though they made this update, this is still a solid tool for keyword research.

Headline Analyzer
Coschedule.com’s Headline Analyzer isn’t necessarily a keyword research tool, but I wanted to include it because it is a great tool for creating headlines that could help you take advantage of semantic keyword terms. Input your headline and it’ll analyze how effective your headline is. This tool is great for coming up with creative onsite copy and blog titles.

Semantic search and user intent are Google’s biggest focus heading into 2017. Other search engines are also migrating towards this notion as well. Search engines are going to be focusing on how each word is situated in a search query and the relationship between those words.

Integrating semantic search terms enriches your content by providing a more enjoyable reading experience to the user. It also improves how search engines read your content in that it introduces various sets of new keywords that are directly related to your own. By using some of these keyword tools you can get ahead of the semantic search term game and dominate the search engines in 2017.
