How to Delete Viber Cache iPhone for Free 2019

How to Delete Viber Cache iPhone for Free 2019

The excitement you get when you first buy your iPhone must be amazing. However, there is nothing worse than pulling out your iPhone from your pocket to capture that once in a lifetime brief moment only to be met with a “storage almost full” message. This is a sinking feeling, and your first task is to check if an app you regularly use is gulping up more storage by caching large volume of data.
Why We Need to Delete Viber Cache iPhone

Cache files can be found in many iPhone applications. Even though they are crucial when it comes to speeding up an app, these files use more storage space on your iPhone than you would think. In that case, giving your iPhone a thorough cleaning will remove those unwanted data and cache while improving its performance and gaining more storage space. I am to show you how to delete Viber cache iPhone.
How to Delete Viber Cache iPhone for Free
Free Way 1. Delete Viber Cache iPhone via Setting

Unluckily, iPhone doesn't provide built-in function to clear app cache, except for the Safari. So, the fast way to clear Viber cache on iPhone is to completely uninstall it from your iDevice and reinstall it again. When an app is uninstalled from your iPhone, everything in that app, including preferences, cookies and cache will be wiped off. To do this:

Step 1: Click on Settings, then on General.

Step 2: Tap on Storage & iCloud Usage and then Manage Storage.

Step 3: Scroll down to Viber and tap on Delete. This will delete the Viber app from your iPhone plus its cache data.

A few of the several disadvantages of this method:

1. You will not only delete the cache files, but also all App data and important files

2. Manually deleting Viber app and installing again is kind of boring and also a waste of time.Sponsor ads:

iPhone Contact Cleaner: Deal with iPhone Contact Problems 2019

iPhone Contact Cleaner: Deal with iPhone Contact Problems
Common Issues with iPhone Contacts

All iPhone users will most likely be familiar with issues that they encounter with iPhone contacts. Although many seem to overlook them, they however become very frustrating over time leaving you no choice but to remove them once and for all.

Duplicate Contacts: One of the most common issues faced by iPhone users is related to duplicate contacts. Most of us have the same address book for our work and home. However, this results in many contacts being duplicated and messing up the entire screen.

Contacts Backup: Another similar issue occurs whenever you back up your device. Somehow, your contacts are also backed up producing two or more contact links of the same person.

Deleted Contact Records: Whether or not you have deleted a particular contact, the call log still displays your call history associated with that particular contact.

All of these issues waste storage space and therefore it becomes important to get an iPhone contact cleaner to delete unwanted contacts as soon as possible.

How to Deal with iPhone Contact Problems

There are a number of ways in which you can deal with such contact issues on your phone. Below are some of the methods that you can adopt in order to manage your contacts more efficiently.
1 Remove or Merge Duplicate Contacts
Option 1: Remove Duplicate Contacts Manually

If there are only a few duplicate contacts that you know about, you are better off removing them manually. You can do this by simply tapping and holding the contact and pressing delete in the pop-up menu.
Option 2: Merge Duplicate Contacts using “Cleanup Duplicate Contacts” app

If you are unsure whether it is safe to delete duplicate contacts, then it is probably a good idea to merge them together so that they take up lesser space. You can do so by using the Cleanup Duplicate Contacts app.

The process is pretty simple. All you need to do is grant the app access to your contacts. Once you do so, the app will analyze all the contacts and will determine which ones are duplicates. You can then merge the contacts accordingly.

2 Back up Contacts with iTunes

Normally, iTunes will create a back-up of your contacts automatically. However, if you have disabled the option, you will need to enable it by syncing your device with iTunes.

You can do so by connecting your iPhone to the computer and launching iTunes. Select the device from the left pane and select “Info”. See if the “Sync Contacts” box is checked. Right-click on your device’s name and select “Back Up”.

Why an iPhone and Car Mount is Better than In-Car Infotainment System 2019

As car manufacturers keep developing high end cars so also have the in-car entertainment evolved. It used to be radio but now, we now have satellite navigation systems, dual mode screens and a whole lot of features which makes life easier for the car occupants. However, despite all these systems, most people find it unintuitive, slow and rarely updated and no match for the computer you carry in your pockets. That computer is nothing else than your iPhone.

It is important to note that your iPhone can do some little things you car won’t do and it matters a lot. For example, it knows that kind of music you like to hear, it is always with you as it learns about your likely destination. Even though they may look negligible but it matters and it with the help of a car mount, you can turn even an old car to a much more modern smart ride. The following are the favorite iPhone features you can use in the car.

Hey Siri

Starting from iOS 9, iPhone came with the capability of listening out of the command Hey “Siri”. When in the house, it is possible to ask some questions like when to set an alarm or how long a time it will take to cook a meal. That means if you have an iphone mounted in your car, you can replicate the questions but this time you will be asking to find a restaurant in your destination before your arrival or even telling it to play some songs you love etc.
Navigation

While in-car navigation systems are good, it could be a nightmare sometimes. For example, you could be stuck with one which came in-built to your car and has never been updated to reflect the current map or a dedicated GPS unit which is highly problematic when it comes to installation. It is important to note that having an in-car iPhone mount can save you from a lot of headaches as regards to navigation by using the GPS you have always loved and that is your iPhone. With this, you will always have the latest maps and things like traffic updates. These are things that your in-car navigation system will not be able to offer you. Besides, your dock support charging and this means that your iPhone battery will not even drain out as you go about moving from one location to the other.
Music Unlimited

There were times when the only source of getting music in your car was filling all the available car compartments with CD’s of all kinds of music. However, things have changed because with an iPhone supported by a mount in your car, you can stream as much music as you want. The interesting thing is that most cars especially the ones manufactured in the last decade are equipped with Bluetooth technology connectivity. Others may have a 3.5mm connection in such a way that makes your iPhone connection very easy. The advantage is that using an in-car iphone mount, the stress of having to play different music of your choice is eliminated because the album art, both information and control would be at your fingertips, therefore the only thing you need to do is to choose between apple Music, Google Play Music or Spotify in order to get going.

At the end of the day, it would really make sense to try something different in terms of car entertainment and with an iPhone mount and your iPhone; you may soon find out that your in-car entertainment system is no longer necessary.

How to Pin Apps in Android 9.0 Pie 2019

It is always irritating when you hand over your phone to someone for a specific purpose and they end up going through other apps, messages, photos, and other personal data stored on it. Thankfully, you can get around this problem by using Screen Pinning. The feature first debuted with Android 5.0 Lollipop and is also present in Android 9.0 Pie, though just like before, it is buried deep inside the Settings menu.
What is Screen Pinning?

Before you hand over your phone to someone else, you pin the app the person wants to use. In this state, the person will have access to only that app and nothing else. Access to multitasking, home screen, app drawer or anything else is blocked. It’s like you pin that app on the screen and the user will only be able to access content from that app and nothing else.

Tip: A Look at Android Pie and What It Offers
How to Pin Apps in Android 9.0 Pie

Starting with Android 9.0 Pie, the way to pin apps has changed a bit. Instead of being available on lower-right, screen pinning is hidden in the app icon. But before that, if you have never used this feature, you will have to enable Screen Pinning first.

Turn on Screen Pinning in Android 9.0

Go to Settings > Security & Location. Scroll to the very end where you will find Screen Pinning.

Tap on it, and toggle it to turn on.

Also, make sure to turn the toggle on for the option “Ask for the PIN before unpinning.”

With Screen Pinning enabled, you can easily pin apps from the Recent Apps view on your Android device running Pie.

Pin Apps from Multitasking

Launch the app you want to pin.

Bring up the Recent Apps view and navigate to the app.

While in the multitasking view, tap on the app icon

Select Pin.

To un-pin, press and hold back and home button together. If you had selected the ask for pin option, the phone will be instantly locked. Since this is a common feature, people may know about it. If you don’t enable phone PIN or password in the option, he or she will have instant access to your phone.

In case you need: 3 Methods to Update Android Version

The name — Screen Pinning– is a bit misleading. While it makes sure that nobody can peek into anything else on your phone, it still gives one access to everything in the pinned app. It should have been named as app pinning instead of screen pinning. For example, if I pin the dialer app, one can still access recent calls, contacts and so on. The ideal situation would have been where one could be restricted to that screen only.

Do you use Screen Pinning? Do you find it useful? Let us know in the comments.

Top 5 Best Free Backup Tools For Mac

Top 5 Best Free Backup Tools For Mac
Best Free Backup Tools For Mac
1.Time Machine

Lets start the list with Time Machine, the macOS very own backup program. I have been using Time Machine since a couple of years and the feature has served me well. All you need to do is plug in a portable hard disk and configure the time machine to backup your data periodically. That being said Time Machine lacks advanced options and offers a very basic user interface. If you are a home user and are looking out for a basic backup tool the Time Machine should serve you well, else read on.
2.FreeFileSync

FreeFileSync fills in the void and offers all the advanced features that the time Machine misses out on. The file explorer interface can be used to sync contents accross two sources. The best part is that the FreeFileSync offers a good degree of control to the users when it comes to the specific files/folders that ought to be synced. With the two-way syncronisation you can make sure that both the folders are up to date and also handle the conflicts/duplication of files.

3.Super Duper

We have all heard of disk-cloning applications. Disk cloning is often referred to the process wherein your startup disk is backed up. In other words with this feature you can backup your entire operating system along with the user settings. The free tier of the Super Duper lets you backup and restore full disks but doesn’t allow users to schedule the process. If you want to have those advanced features you need to chip in and go for the premium tier.

Download SuperDuper here
4.CrashPlan

Untill now we have mostly talked about local file backup. However, it is also preferred to backup data on cloud drives. CrashPlan offers you free local cloud storage and allows yout backup Mac computers by creating your own local cloud. If you are wary of trusting cloud servers you can also backup your computer on off-site locations like your office servers. The free version of CrashPlan is pretty comprehensive and offers the ability to schedule backups, create off side backups and backup external drives.

Download CrashPlan here
5.iBackup

iBackup relies on a user interface that mostly resembles the macOS file explorer. The program allows you to select and backup single files/folders from your home directory. Additionally iBackup also allows you to backup system preferences and settings. Most importantly the iBackup is very efficient when it comes to backing up your Mac.

Download iBackup here
Conclusion

The world of free backup is less populated than it once was. However, two core applications, Time Machine and SuperDuper, can work together to create an excellent backup system that will protect you from many kinds of data loss. Just add a cloud backup service like Backblaze or Carbonite. Then you’ll have a robust backup system to keep your Mac’s files safe.

How to Block Any Website On Your Android Phone

How to Block Any Website On Your Android Phone

On Android, there are a couple of different things you can do. If you have a rooted phone, you can block websites by editing the hosts file on your device to redirect sites you want to block. You’ll need a file manager, and a text editor – the easiest option is to use our favourite app ES File Explorer, which lets you do both things. Here’s how it works.

Install ES File Explorer. Open ES File Explorer and tap the menu button at the top left. Tap on Local > Device > system > etc.

In this folder, you’ll see the file named hosts – tap it and in the pop up menu, tap text. In the next pop up, tap ES Note Editor.

Tap the edit button in the top bar.

Now, you’re editing the file, and to block sites, you want to redirect their DNS. To do this, just start a new line, and type “127.0.0.1 www.blockedwebsite.com” (without the quotes, where blocked website is the name of the site you’re blocking) for each website you want to block. For example, you’ll have to type 127.0.0.1 www.google.com to block Google.

Reboot your Android device.

If that method is too complex for you, you can install an anti-virus app such as Trend Micro that lets you block websites.

Don’t Miss : Best Xposed Modules you must try on Rooted Androd Phone 2018

Install the app and run it. Go to Options > Safe surfing.

Now swipe to Parental Controls and click set up account. Create an account and you’ll see an option called Blocked List in the app. Tap it, and tap Add. Now add the websites you want to block one at a time. Once that is done, you won’t be able to access these websites on your Android smartphone.

Bonus Tips:

Gihosoft Android data recovery Free is a super awesome software specialized in Android file recovery. How to Block Any Website On Browser Level

Blocking a website on any browser is the easiest way to get the job done.

On Firefox, you can install an addon called BlockSite to block website.

Install the addon, press ctrl+shift+a, and click Extensions on the left. Now click Options under BlockSite. In the pop-up, click Add and type the name of the website you want blocked. Repeat the process for all websites you don’t want to access. Click OK.

Now these websites will be blocked on Firefox. You can also set a password in BlockSite to prevent others from editing the list of blocked websites. This can be done via the options menu described in the previous step.

BlockSite is also available on Google Chrome.

Internet Explorer lets you block websites easily. Here’s how.

Open the browser and go to Tools (alt+x) > Internet Options. Now click the security tab and then click the red Restricted sites icon. Click the Sites button below the icon.

Now in the pop-up, manually type the websites you want to block one-by-one. Click Add after typing the name of each site. When done, click Close and click OK in all other windows. Now these websites will be blocked in Internet Explorer.
